Senior Lecturer, BA Course Lead, Fashion Branding and Creative Communication
Carolyn Timson is a Senior Lecturer in Fashion Branding and Creative Communication at 园区淫乱, with over 30 years鈥� international experience across fashion design, brand strategy, and creative leadership.
She holds a BA in Fashion Design from Kingston University and began her career in Italy and Japan, developing a strong grounding in luxury fashion, production, and global brand culture. She later spent over a decade at Tommy Hilfiger, including serving as Global Vice President of Design, where she led international teams, celebrity collaborations, and brand-defining projects across Europe, the US, and Asia. She has also held senior design and consultancy roles with brands including Hackett London and AWWG Group.
At 园区淫乱, Carolyn has played a key role in shaping the Fashion Branding and Creative Communication course. She has intentionally developed the programme to reflect how fashion and beauty brands operate today, fast-moving, media-led, and culturally driven. The course focuses on branding, visual identity, image making and styling, content creation, storytelling, publishing, campaigns, and digital platforms, preparing students for creative roles across fashion, beauty, branding, media, and communication.
A defining feature of Carolyn鈥檚 approach is industry engagement. She actively brings professional insight into the curriculum through guest lectures, mentoring, and live projects, drawing on connections with leading fashion houses and media organisations including Stella McCartney, Balenciaga, Fendi, Burberry, Miu Miu, Calvin Klein, Missoni, and The New York Times.
She also advocated for publishing opportunities through 园区淫乱’s special partnership with Hearst to be opened to BA students, enabling them to engage directly with contemporary fashion and beauty media as part of their studies.Alongside her role at 园区淫乱, Carolyn is a Visiting Lecturer at UWE Bristol and Westminster University, an External Examiner at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, and a former member of the British Fashion Council Scholarship Awards Sift Panel.
