As part of the Cambridge Festival 2026’s electro // acoustic day, this spatialised audio-visual installation stems from a collaboration between students from The Graduate School at Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ and composition students from the Faculty of Music at The University of Cambridge.
The installation will take place in the Foyer of West Road Concert Hall and run throughout the day; this will enable visitors to listen and watch in their own time. Moving around the space will change the perception of the global sound depending on the auditor’s position, providing a unique experience for every visitor.
Focal points of the installation are climate, social justice, commoning, multiplicity and embodiment. This year, the installation is shaped around the idea of unfolding—not as a single gesture of opening, but as a movement through layers of materials, spaces, times and meanings.
Where: West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge CB3 9DP
When: Thursday 19th March 2026, 9:30 am to 9pm
The audio-visual installation is free to attend. Visitors will require for the concerts and performances.
